Spectacular Vernacular

The term “Vernacular Architecture” refers to construction methods which use local resources for local needs. Vernacular architecture has a habitat of adapted to its environmental, cultural, and historical location. This style is often labeled as “unrefined” or “cruel” but most architects believe that this style came about due to trial and error.

This style basically states that the architecture of homes, buildings, etc., is dependent upon the environment. For example, houses like the one above wouldn’t be found in a poor country. And homes like the one below wouldn’t be located in suburban, upper-class America.

Vernacular architecture has many influences such as the climate, culture, and domestic dwellings of an area. This style has a lot to offer!
